Lake Country Hands of Hope had the privilege of teaming up with Samaritan’s Purse for part of our Jersey Shore Trip. Great organization, great work, great rig, and great people!
The vision of LCHOH was to provide working gloves, working hours, and a word of encouragement to the folks effected by Hurricane Sandy. The team walked house to house throughout Ortley Beach and Seaside Heights of the Barrier Island in the Toms River Township seeking to serve the people. Roughly 700 pairs of work gloves from the Lake Country area were distributed to the people of Jersey Shore.
Water’s Edge Community Church will be sending a team to New Jersey to help the victims of Superstorm Sandy. Please consider how you can be a part of supporting this important mission. Scripture is clear concerning the church’s responsibility to reach out to those in need. The apostle John penned our duty this way
“Whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in Him? Little children, let us not love in word or in talk, but in deed and in truth” (1 John 3:17-18).
